Owners of professional sports franchises in Texas have supported legalizing sports betting in the past, and they continue to do so in 2023. The bill needs a two-thirds majority in both chambers, however, which might be too great of a hill to climb. Should it pass, Texas voters would get to weigh in on the issue on the Nov.
